The Town of Windsor (CO) is seeking a Leaf & Branch Drop Site Attendant to serve customers at the Public Services Leaf & Branch Drop Site. You will accept payments, verify residency, guide proper disposal of leaves and branches, and keep the site organized and safe.
Responsibilities include monitoring traffic, inspecting loads, maintaining logs, coordinating roll-offs, and ensuring compliance with procedures and safety rules.
The hiring range for this position is $19.52 - $24.41 per hour; which increases based on years of service and experience.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and some Mondays from 8 am to 3 pm; the schedule may vary depending on the Town's needs.
As a member of the Public Services (Parks, Recreation & Culture/Public Works) team, individuals in this role serve as the primary point of contact for customers utilizing the Leaf & Branch Drop Site at the Public Services Facility. The responsibilities associated with this position include delivering exceptional customer service and overseeing the operations of the Leaf & Branch Drop Site. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant disposal of approved yard waste recyclable materials. Duties encompass processing customer credit card payments (cash payments are not accepted), verifying the residency status of customers in Windsor, and providing guidance on the proper utilization of the facility, including directions for the disposal of yard waste materials (such as leaves and branches) into designated roll-off bins. Additionally, the Attendant plays a critical role in maintaining site organization, preventing material contamination, and coordinating with operations staff regarding the management of roll-off containers, ensuring timely removal when they reach full capacity. The Attendant is also responsible for ensuring that the Leaf & Branch Drop Site remains free of debris and is clean.
This temporary employment may be scheduled throughout the year on a full-time basis, depending on the needs of the town, but will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). Individuals work under the direct supervision/leadership of the Town Forester to carry out assigned duties, functions, roles, and projects in both routine and complex circumstances.
