As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology Employee Platforms, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Execute software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or analyze technical problems.
  2. Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  3. Lead and maintain business processes (e.g., configuration documents, JIRA practices, SR tracking).
  4. Lead functional testing of enhancements to minimize defects.
  5. Review Oracle release notes in advance and conduct impact analysis.
  6. Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
  7. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
  8. Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reports for continuous improvement.
  9. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements.
  10. Maintain system training and knowledge to ensure optimal and holistic design.
  11. Apply lessons learned to limit production defects.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  1. Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
  2. Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  3. Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  4. Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
  5. Proficiency across all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  6. Technical proficiency in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile, etc.
  7. In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
  8. Practical experience with cloud-native development.
  9. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
  10. Strong experience with Oracle Core HCM modules (HCM, OTBI, HDL/HSDL).
  11. Leadership experience.
