Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine clinician-educator to join its expanding division in Charleston. The role focuses on educating the next generation of MFM leaders while expanding access to specialized care for high-risk patients.

The position supports teaching across medical students, residents, and fellows, with a defined clinic and call schedule, inpatient coverage, and SC-wide outreach.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Academic orientation with teaching focus.
• Interest in outreach and education.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Be part of a collegial team of MFM physicians and staff.
• Clinic 3 days per week with patient load ~15–25 per clinic.
• Call: one weekend day backup and 2–3 weekdays per month.
• Inpatient coverage 4 weeks per year, one week per quarter.
• Travel across South Carolina to provide MFM care.
• No research requirement.
