Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. is launching a Leadership Trainee Program designed to develop the dealership leaders of tomorrow.

The 2-year rotation covers Parts, Service, and frontline customer engagement, with hands-on exposure to operations and enterprise software. Selected trainees will rotate across multiple locations in the Midwest, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, and will transition to an Operations role upon completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Associate's degree preferred in business, marketing, transportation, engineering, or a related field.
  • Effective written, phone, and in-person communication.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% with overnight stays within a multi-state service territory.
  • Intermediate experience with CRM systems and Google Drive.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance; basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Leadership Trainee Program as outlined (Dealership Rotation, Business/Enterprise Learning, Prospecting) within 1.25 to 2.5 years.
  • Develop core business competencies such as presentations, customer service, communication, and needs analysis.
  • Learn day-to-day operations and customer engagement protocols within Parts and Service departments.
  • Shadow senior Sales/Ops experts to learn enterprise software (CRM, Karmak Fusion, Decisiv, PACCAR.net) and customer management.
  • Identify potential customers and generate cross-departmental leads under mentorship.
  • Support growth and market penetration efforts with service and parts teams.

Job Purpose

The Leadership Trainee Program is a comprehensive 2-year training program designed to develop the future leaders of JX Enterprises. Primarily focused on a future in our dealership operations, you will be provided with the experience, skills, and tools necessary to lead and solve client business and transportation challenges with JX's value-added solutions.

Training Curriculum
  1. JX Dealership Rotation (3 Months): Introduction into day-to-day operations and customer engagement, focusing specifically on our Parts and Service departments.
  2. Business & Enterprise Learning (15 Months): Immersive, hands-on experience acting in foundational customer facing roles such as inventory control, rental operations, parts, service, customer solution implementation, event execution, and other sales support roles. This phase also includes job shadowing as well as specific management tasks.
  3. Growth Activities & Prospecting (6 Months): Focused application of Operational and leadership skills to drive operational efficiency and support across Rental, Used Truck, New Truck, Lease, Parts, and Service divisions.
Placement & Transition

Six months prior to the conclusion of the program, we will collaborate with you to identify and secure a permanent position within the organization that aligns with your developed skill set and current business needs. This may include possibilities of working at any of 30+ locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. See www.jxtruckcenter.com/locations.

Promotion

Upon successful completion of the training, presentations, and core competencies, the Trainee will be promoted to an Operations position. You will be responsible for growing your knowledge and skills within the fixed operations side of our business to prepare for future management roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Successful completion of training requirements: Progress through the established phases (Dealership Rotation, Business/Enterprise Learning, and Prospecting) within the 1.25 to 2.5-year timeline.
  • Skill Development: Master core business competencies including Presentations, Customer Service, Communication, Basics of Prospecting and Selling, Needs Analysis, Closing, and Solutioning.
  • Operational Integration: Learn day-to-day operations and customer engagement protocols within the Parts and Service departments.
  • Role Immersion: Take on responsibilities in foundational positions (e.g., Parts Counter, Service Counter, Regional Coordinator, etc.) and shadow existing Sales/Ops experts to learn enterprise software (CRM, Karmak Fusion, Decisiv, PACCAR.net, etc.) and customer management.
  • Growth & Prospecting: Under the direction of your mentors and the Business Development management team, identify potential customers, generate cross-departmental leads, and improve data integrity within company systems.
  • Market Strategy: Work with service and parts teams to make customer calls and increase overall JX market penetration.
  • Perform additional duties/projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Disciplined, with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Valid driver's license required; Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred or the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
