The Leadership Development Program Specialist is a critical member of the Member Learning and Engagement cluster. This position provides project management support to the programs and operations of the AAMC's Leadership Development Portfolio and builds successful relationships with external constituents, program faculty, and internal content experts. The Specialist collaborates with the Director of Learning & Leadership Development, Leadership Development Managers, and Program Leaders to ensure constituents receive high-quality learning experiences in all formats.
Program and Project Management Support: Supports the development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of selected programs in the Leadership Development product lines. Collaborates with the Leadership Development Team to establish key stakeholders, target audience, project goals, instructional objectives, and overall learning format.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serves as the primary point of contact with external stakeholders and audiences involved in the preparation and execution of learning solutions (speakers, vendors, participants, etc.). Coordinates contracts, reimbursements, scheduling, assessments, and other logistical needs.
Logistics and Delivery: Partners with meeting planners to secure delivery dates and venues and to coordinate all logistics for selected offerings.
Facilitation: Acts as faculty facilitator or moderator for Leadership Development programs.
Content and Quality: Collaborates with the Leadership Development Team and subject matter experts on learning content curation and the design and development of learning deliverables, ensuring successful completion and overall quality of the project.
Pre-work and Communications: Administers course pre-work, self-assessments, and participant communications for in-person and synchronous virtual learning solutions/events.
Evaluation: Engages with program evaluators and team colleagues to establish, track, and report evaluation metrics for assigned learning solutions/events.
Program Support Across Product Lines: Collaborates with and supports the Leadership Development Team on CORE programs, specialized programs, and foundational offerings for students and residents; may provide on-site support or back-up for a Program Leader if needed.
PMO Support: Contributes to and provides project management support for programs undergoing development or revision.
Manage the leadership development faculty/speaker cadre and faculty/speaker succession planning process.
Serve as the team’s main point of contact for the AAMC’s Virtual Communities (VC); work with the VC team to strategically integrate/post leadership development content on the VC platform.
Ensure the leadership development webpage on aamc.org is updated and maintained with accurate, timely information. Collaborate with marketing and leadership development team members on webpage strategy.
Manage the leadership development inbox and respond to constituent inquiries or triage requests for information.
Serve as the team’s main point of contact for vendor and contracting processes; represent the team when senior colleagues are not available.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2-4 years of related work experience
1-3 years of supervisory experience
Experience independently managing and executing projects
Experience working on professional development events or learning-related projects or programs is required
PMP certification is preferred
This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US
Compensation Grade Range: $69,020.00-$81,200.00
Multiple factors are taken into consideration to determine the final salary, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, internal equity, market conditions, and business considerations.
If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college coursework is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
