Our Talent Development & Learning team within the Human Resources organization partners with business leaders to focus on improving associate skills and knowledge to enhance individual and organizational performance, and to support career growth.

As the Leadership Development Consultant, you will play a key role in advancing leadership capabilities and aligning leadership development initiatives with organizational goals. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by Human Resources leadership.

How you’ll spend your time:

• Provide thought-leadership on the design of development strategies that support the growth of our leaders and culture.
• Manage leadership programs to include execution, communications, delivery and program analysis and evaluation.
• Lead vendor relationships to include contract negotiations, tactical direction, and guidance on design of leadership programs and resources.
• Support UMB leaders by conducting and debriefing leadership assessments and supporting development needs.
• Stay current with external trends.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

• You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
• You have at least 8 years of Talent Development or HR roles with consultant and training aspects.
• You have advanced knowledge of leadership and development principles.
• You have experience creating virtual learning experiences and ability to effectively facilitate group learning.
• You are certified in Hogan Assessment and/or DiSC Assessment.
• You have strong business acumen and deep persistent desire to understand organizational culture.
• You have the ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively.

Bonus Points If:

• You have banking industry experience.

This role is hybrid (Tue through Thu on-site) located in downtown Kansas City, MO.

Compensation Range:

$69,230.00 - $149,000.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
