Job summary

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute in Simi Valley, CA, seeks a dedicated Reagan Leadership Center Manager and Lead Teacher. This full-time role leads day-to-day operations, instructional leadership, and staff development for the Reagan Leadership Center.

A bachelor's degree, teaching credential, and significant classroom leadership are required; hybrid work with some evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Current or prior teaching credential is required.
• Minimum five years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, observing, and giving actionable feedback to teachers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to design and lead professional learning.
• Strong knowledge of instructional practice, student-centered learning, and assessment.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.
• Proficiency with iOS/Apple tech, Google Docs and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to RRPFI mission; lead Reagan Leadership Center development.
• Manage day-to-day operations and future development of the center.
• Oversee payroll for the Reagan Leadership Center team.
• Hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop part-time educators.
• Partner with Education team to review and refine curriculum and resources.
• Design and lead onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
• Observe educators, provide actionable feedback, and coach staff.
• Lead RLC simulations and leadership programs for learners.
• Set ambitious goals with the Education Team for program impact.
• Recruitment & partnerships with local and statewide communities.
• Track metrics and prepare annual program reports.
• Coordinate on-site Reagan Education events.
• Support other duties as assigned by leadership.
