About the role

A leading life and annuity insurer is seeking a Leadership Associate Actuary to join their Risk function. This role offers high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and direct impact on enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development and oversight of risk frameworks, including economic capital, stress testing, and risk appetite.
  2. Collaborate with teams across Finance, Investments, and Product to assess model risk, assumption governance, and emerging risk exposures.
  3. Drive analytics that inform senior leadership on key risk insights and trends.
  4. Lead or contribute to risk-focused projects, with opportunities to present findings to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  1. Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA); FSA preferred.
  2. 8+ years of actuarial experience, ideally with exposure to risk management, enterprise risk, or model governance.
  3. Strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or similar tools) and comfort working with large datasets.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize complex findings for non-technical audiences.
  5. Proven leadership potential and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
