Overview

The following minimum expectations will be reviewed at your 90-day review. These expectations are listed to help you focus on the preliminary expectations to maintain the level of Class G5 maintenance team member. You may be assigned a specific focus area based on the plant needs at the time and will be supplied with a focus list for your initial 90-day evaluation. We encourage your curiosity and creativity, but mastering the listed Key Result Expectations is essential as they will be reviewed at your 90-day review. Additional efforts and skill applications are always welcome.

Responsibilities

Level G1 Key Result Expectations

  1. Complete individual lockout/tagout training and demonstrate the ability to identify lock locations, follow the lockout procedure, and apply appropriate lockout devices.
  2. Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
  3. Follow directions, verbal or written, for basic assembly and repair of equipment.
  4. Assist other maintenance technicians on projects and rebuilds.
  5. Learn the locations and descriptions of lines and equipment.
  6. Learn to locate parts in the parts room and sign out correctly.
  7. Complete paperwork for checklists, work orders, and documentation as required.
  8. Enter and complete work orders in the computerized maintenance management system.
  9. Perform repairs on production, processing equipment, and buildings/grounds as assigned.
  10. Initiate work efforts independently when possible.
  11. Be willing to work regular, off-shift hours, overtime, and be on call as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic.

Level G2 Key Result Expectations

  1. Start and safely stop key equipment such as carton erectors, fillers, robots, conveyors, and labelers.
  2. Adjust box erectors/closers for specific carton sizes.
  3. Disassemble and reassemble filler pumps using correct O-rings.
  4. Remove and install cup droppers and heater assemblies correctly.
  5. Change lidding rolls and thread onto machines properly.
  6. Install and remove lid knife assemblies correctly.
  7. Understand the operation of pick-and-place robots.
  8. Make minor adjustments to the carton divider inserter.
  9. Start or stop inkjet coding systems and align printer heads.
  10. Perform PM duties following written procedures with minor supervision.
  11. Interpret basic machine diagrams for parts and assemblies.
  12. Rebuild heater and cup dropper assemblies as needed.
  13. Use multimeters or amp probes to detect power presence.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or leads.

Level G3 Key Result Expectations

  1. Operate all packaging equipment at the production level.
  2. Change package selections on packing robots for different sizes.
  3. Interpret complex wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings for repairs.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
  5. Replace and wire motors correctly.
  6. Use PLC input/output indications to diagnose issues.
  7. Fabricate and modify mechanical components.
  8. Perform minor welding repairs.
  9. Perform complete line changeovers based on product demand.

Level G4 Key Result Expectations

  1. Lead maintenance projects including new equipment installations and rebuilds.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control issues.
  3. Interpret CIP piping circuits and feedback devices.
  4. Rebuild pumps and replace pump motors.
  5. Perform advanced fabrication and sanitary welds.
  6. Use a laptop with PLC software for troubleshooting, with permissions.

Level G5 Key Result Expectations

  1. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC mechanical and electrical issues.
  2. Attend and pass Ammonia Operator 1 training.
  3. Maintain and repair ammonia systems.
  4. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the wastewater system.
  5. Replace and commission faulty Allen Bradley drives.
  6. Lead maintenance activities in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
