Job summary

Dental Depot is seeking a Leader in Training to help run a dental office and mentor staff for patient care excellence. You will assist the Office Manager, oversee doctors and admin teams, and help resolve patient concerns in a fast-paced clinic.

You will participate in leadership development, conduct daily huddles, and monitor performance with feedback and formal evaluations. The role emphasizes training, compliance, and service quality across departments.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 1+ years of management or dental office experience.
  • Knowledge of dental software (Eaglesoft preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance if operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison to Maintenance and lead daily office operations for clinical and admin staff.
  • Lead daily huddles and provide feedback to improve performance.
  • Develop staff through coaching and formal evaluations at 45/90 days and annually.
  • Schedule doctors and staff; manage paperwork and reporting timelines.
  • Address patient complaints promptly and professionally to sustain satisfaction.
  • Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and maintain office supply levels.

Position SummaryThe Leader in Training helps ensure that all aspects of the practice operate fluidly and effectively. This position conducts and helps train associates on establishing the highest level of patient care and satisfaction, including resolving patient complaints. Assist the Office Manager and Assistant Office Manager in evaluating the trainee for effectiveness of training and individual employee growth. This position will also learn the roles and responsibilities of an Assistant Office Manager and Office Manager. This position will serve as a trainer, patient care coordinator, or other administrative.Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Learns to lead and oversees daily office operations, including doctors and administrative and clinical staff, patient interactions, scheduling, and short-term office planning.Learns to determine work schedules and work assignments for doctors, and administrative and clinical employees.Supports the practice, providing employees with constructive feedback to improve individual and team morale.Provides written and oral instruction or feedback to employees to enhance employee relations.Creates an environment conducive to achieving practice performance goals.Supports and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly employee performance, giving feedback and/or performance improvement plansProvides feedback for 45 day, 90 day, and annual performance evaluations for administrative and clinical staff.Prepares and delivers timely administration of all paperwork and reports.Take bank deposits occasionally.Balance day sheets and close the office at least one night per week.Lead daily huddles.Liaison to Maintenance Department, ensuring office fixtures, furnishing, grounds and attendant repairs to such are timely reported and performed, and adequate administrative and clinical supplies are on site.Supports the Dental Depot mission statement by providing a positive example for staff.Communicates respectfully and courteously with patients, vendors, and employees.Proficiently uses conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to manage interpersonal office conflict and patient complaints.Increases knowledge and skills through self-study and other education.Completes all leadership development modules and actively applies the learned strategies to elevate team performance and operational excellence.Undergoes BOA and PCC training to deepen expertise and strengthen role-specific competencies.Maintains dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks.Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.Position may be required to relocate to other Dental Depot clinics either permanently or on a short-term basis due to office needs, on an as needed basis at the discretion of Management.This position may complete other Administrative and Maintenance tasks as assigned by Management.Position QualificationsEducation:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredExperience:1 plus years of experience in management or dental office experienceCertifications & Licenses:N/AComputer Skills:Dental Software knowledge (Eaglesoft knowledge preferred, but not required.)
