Job summary

City of Little Rock is seeking a working supervisor for a crew involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of city streets and related structures. This safety/security sensitive position requires a high school diploma or vocational training, at least one year of masonry or street maintenance experience, and one year of supervisory or lead worker experience (or equivalent combinations).

A valid Arkansas Class D driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational coursework in construction or building trades.
• 1 year of masonry or street maintenance experience.
• 1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience; equivalent combinations considered.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To provide working supervision for a work crew involved in construction, repair and maintenance of City streets and related structures.

This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school or vocational technical coursework in construction or building trades, one (1) year of experience in masonry work or street maintenance work and one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience.Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for duration of employment in this position.
