The role focuses on coordinating vehicle movement, loads, inspections, and documentation in collaboration with customers. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of management experience, strong leadership, and expert Microsoft Office and QMS/ISO 9001 knowledge.

Salary Range: $42,500.00 - $55,250.00 Salary

Yard Operations Supervisor (Group Leader – Yard Management)

Ready to lead a team that keeps operations moving safely, efficiently, and on time? As our Yard Operations Supervisor, you’ll guide 25 dedicated team members in a fast-paced environment. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver on commitments, maintain exceptional quality, and uphold our safety-first culture.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate vehicle movement, inspections, and dispatch to keep schedules on track.
  • Build and dispatch loads for transportation carriers.
  • Oversee damage claims, loss prevention, and process documentation.
  • Mentor and inspire your team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with customers and present process improvements that make a difference.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years’ management experience.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Total Quality Management.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision suitable for inspections in varying light; hearing sufficient for normal workplace sounds.
Environmental

  • May be around moving machinery and equipment daily
  • Depending on work location, it may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location
  • May be required to drive motorized equipment depending on the work location
  • Potentially walks on uneven ground
  • May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf cart or company vehicle
