Job summary

Binford Supply LLC is seeking a Lead Material Handler for our North Houston location. The role involves supervising yard/warehouse activities, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring accurate order filling.

You will help maintain inventory, plan daily tasks, and uphold safety standards while working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires warehouse/yard experience, high school diploma or GED, and bilingual ability, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Education-High School Graduate or GED
• 3+ years experience in a warehouse/yard position
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Bilingual required

Responsibilities

• Assist in yard/warehouse activities including loading and unloading trucks safely and timely; fill orders accurately
• Maintain proper inventory levels and keep yard neat and orderly
• Plan daily tasks and communicate goals to the team
• Follow safety policies and work outdoors in varied weather
• Collaborate with team to ensure branch success and customer service

Lead Material Handler-N. Houston

Pay: $23-$25 an hr DOE

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30 am-4:30 pm

• Assists Material Handlers to ensure branch success, excellent customer service, and uphold a positive company image.
• Responsible for all activities in the yard/warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks safely, properly, and timely and filling orders accurately.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels including keeping the yard neat, clean, and orderly.
• Plan out daily tasks and goals to be accomplished and communicate them to the team daily.
• Strictly follows safety policies, rules, and safe work methods.
• Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
• Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Supervisory experience and building material knowledge are preferred but not required.
• Education-High School Graduate or GED
• 3 plus years experience in a warehouse/yard position
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Bilingual Required
