Binford Supply is seeking a reliable Local Class A CDL Driver to deliver construction materials safely and on schedule. You will comply with DOT regulations, perform vehicle inspections, and assist with warehouse duties when not on deliveries.

Formación

• Three years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• One year of flatbed truck experience.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Experience with load securing/strapping.
• Registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Knowledge of GPS, electronic logs and map reading.
• Clean driving record and safety-focused attitude.

Responsabilidades

Description

Binford Supply is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Local Class A CDL Driver to deliver construction materials and equipment while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. This role requires experience operating manual transmission and flatbed trucks, securing loads, completing required documentation, and performing vehicle inspections. When not making deliveries, the driver may assist with warehouse and yard operations. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties by company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s record of duty status, mileage records, and other records required by law.
• Travel to local areas making deliveries to businesses and residences applying knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, and inclement weather. This includes going forward and backing up long distances, around corners, and in and around tight areas. May travel long distances.
• Perform Pre and Post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order and maintain logs of vehicle services and repair status.
• Follow company reporting procedures for any injuries, vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Follow appropriate company safety procedures and wear all required PPE.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Responsible for proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to the truck operation and freight movements.
• Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers/tablets, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Responsible for performing proper load securement of cargo and maintaining safe load securement throughout trips.
• In addition to driving responsibilities, the driver may also assist with warehouse and yard duties, on days there are no runs.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Three years of Class A CDL driving experience
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
• One year of experience operating a flatbed truck
• Knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Experience with strapping/securement
• Registered with FMCSA clearinghouse
• Knowledge of Electronic Logging requirements, GPS systems, and ability to read maps
• Clean driving record and diligent attention to safety
