Job summary

American Family Care Willow Grove is seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to perform imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. This role involves greeting patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a high standard of image quality.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent and may be ARRT-registered or board eligible. This position offers a collaborative work environment in urgent care, where patient welfare is paramount.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
  • Licensed per state regulation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner.
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked.
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment.

Education

Associate’s degree or equivalent
ARRT registration preferred
Medical Assistant Certification, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification acceptable in some states

Job Summary

Perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a physician as well as radiologist overreads
  • Utilize both digital and non‑digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures
  • Aid physician with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocol as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
  • Willingness to cross‑train in other roles as appropriate including medical assisting and reception
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
