We are seeking an elite Lead WordPress Developer & Platform Architect to architect, build, and optimize high-performance websites across our growing network of 20+ restoration brands. This is a hands-on technical role where you will personally design and develop websites while strategically managing contractors and vendors to scale our efforts. You'll be responsible for creating conversion-optimized, lightning-fast websites that drive business growth while maintaining best-in-class user experience at scale.

Job SUMMARY

We are seeking an elite Lead WordPress Developer & Platform Architect to architect, build, and optimize high-performance websites across our growing network of 20+ restoration brands. This is a hands-on technical role where you will personally design and develop websites while strategically managing contractors and vendors to scale our efforts. You'll be responsible for creating conversion-optimized, lightning-fast websites that drive business growth while maintaining best-in-class user experience at scale.

This is a senior-level position ideal for a WordPress expert with 8+ years of experience who has successfully built and managed large-scale WordPress Multisite installations. Given our small but rapidly growing team, we need a versatile technical leader who is eager to jump in, solve complex challenges, and drive innovation across our digital properties.

Job RESPONSIBILITIES (listed Below But Not Limited To)

• WordPress Multisite Architecture: Design and implement scalable WordPress Multisite infrastructure to efficiently manage 20-30+ websites with shared resources while maintaining brand uniqueness
• Performance Optimization: Ensure all websites achieve industry-leading Core Web Vitals scores, with target load times under 2 seconds and 95+ Google PageSpeed scores
• Conversion Rate Optimization: Collaborate with marketing team to implement data-driven website optimizations that increase lead generation and customer acquisition
• Theme Development: Create custom, responsive themes optimized for restoration/home services businesses with focus on mobile-first design and conversion optimization
• Plugin Strategy: Evaluate, select, and configure plugins for optimal performance while maintaining security and minimizing technical debt
• Hosting Management: Manage and optimize WP Engine hosting environment, including staging environments, CDN configuration, and security protocols
• SEO Implementation: Implement SEO best practices including schema markup, and site structure optimization
• Quality Assurance: Establish testing protocols for all website changes, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
• Hands-on Development: Personally code custom themes, implement complex functionality, and troubleshoot technical issues while leading external contractors on larger initiatives
• Brand Standardization: Develop standardized website frameworks that can be quickly deployed for newly acquired brands while preserving their unique identity
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and custom code for scalability and team growth
• Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of expert-level WordPress development experience with strong portfolio
• Proven experience building and managing WordPress Multisite installations at scale (20+ sites minimum)
• Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks
• Advanced experience with WP Engine hosting platform and enterprise-level hosting management
• Demonstrated track record of achieving exceptional website performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed, etc.)
• Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization principles and A/B testing methodologies
• Experience with home services, multi-location businesses, or franchise website development strongly preferred
• Expert knowledge of technical SEO implementation and best practices
• Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect websites
• Experience managing external contractors and agencies while maintaining hands-on coding and design capabilities
• Knowledge of website security best practices, especially for business-critical websites
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM integrations
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)
• Experience with Git version control and deployment workflows
• Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent website projects
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• This position requires on-site presence in Irving, Texas 4 days per week
