Job summary

Exo Group, LLC seeks a Wood Services Foreman to conduct thorough inspections of wooden utility poles, ensuring safety, structural integrity and quality. You will document findings, report results, and manage a crew of at least one Laborer on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, improving inspection procedures, and maintaining equipment readiness. The role requires strong detail orientation, field expertise, and the ability to travel extensively across sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or experience preferred.
  • Strong planning and task management skills.
  • Proficiency with wood pole materials, construction, decay and safety standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment.
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time.
  • OSHA 10 training.
  • Pesticide Applicator License for state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Safety compliance: identify hazards and recommend actions for repair or replacement.
  • Record inspection data with photos and reports, document crew hours and approvals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate inspection outcomes.
  • Contribute to improvements of inspection procedures and tools.
  • Lead and direct crew, assign duties, train and develop staff.
  • Maintain inventory and readiness of equipment and tools for projects.
