The University of Maine at Fort Kent invites applications for Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. The role involves coaching intercollegiate volleyball, recruiting within USCAA guidelines, and directing practices, travel, and competitions.

Responsibilities include supervising equipment and training gear, coordinating with the Athletic Trainer, and presenting game results and media releases. A supportive university community and wellness programs accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior related coaching experience.
• Knowledge of rules and statistics.
• Familiarity with NCAA/NAIA/USCAA standards, rules, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a courteous, tactful and efficient manner, organization skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coaches intercollegiate Women’s Volleyball.
• Collaborates with academic departments on recruiting student athletes.
• Plans and directs team practices, travel, and competitions.
• Assist in tracking academic eligibility regulations for student athletes.
• Manages the care of team equipment, uniforms and training gear.
• Work in close communication with Athletic Trainer for student/athletes care.
• Craft a game schedule within budget limits and support and guidance of Athletic Director.
• To be a positive contributing department citizen in supporting fellow athletic events, community relationships, and collaborate on fundraising opportunities.
• To provide results for pregame and final scores press releases.
• To represent the university and Department of Athletics in a positive manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
