Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is seeking a relationship-driven fundraising professional to lead Women’s Philanthropy, cultivate annual, major, and planned giving opportunities, and build connections within Pittsburgh’s Jewish community.

The Manager of Women’s Philanthropy will oversee programs, engage donors, manage a 50–75 donor portfolio, and supervise volunteers while coordinating with Federation colleagues on strategy and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit annual and/or major fundraising.
• Experience with planned giving and endowments preferred.
• First-hand knowledge of the Jewish community, including its customs and practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 50–75 donors and prospects; cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships through regular, thoughtful interactions.
• Manage and support a team of volunteer fundraisers.
• Initiate and integrate endowment conversations to create planned giving opportunities, with emphasis on Lion of Judah Endowment opportunities.
• Strategically oversee Women’s Philanthropy and Engagement activities and identify opportunities for refinement, growth, and enhancement.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Women’s Council, including governance, leadership collaboration, and community participation.
• Develop Lions of Judah, Forever Lions, Pomegranate Society members to build community among high-level female donors.
• Partner with colleagues to maximize fundraising efforts and collaboration across departments.
• Develop and monitor the annual budget for Women’s activities.
• Attend National Women’s Philanthropy meetings and conferences.
• Handle other Community Campaign and Women’s Philanthropy responsibilities as needed.
