Job summary

HTM Contractors, Inc. in Honolulu, HI seeks a Lead Welder to weld and repair equipment, trucks, dumpsters, and fabricate items. This role requires strong welding skills, blueprint literacy, and the ability to supervise a small team.

Responsibilities include training, estimating and take-offs for repairs, ordering materials, quality control, and following project specifications. Mig and Stick welding are used; paid holidays and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Able to supervise 1-4 employees.
• Estimating and take-offs for repair or building metal work preferred.
• Familiar with welding procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
• Physically able to perform required tasks.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Train and coordinate welding activities.
• Estimate and take-offs for repairs and new builds.
• Order materials and manage shop inventory.
• Quality control of welded parts and assemblies.
• Fabricate dumpsters, containers, and related equipment.
• Repair, assemble, and install dumpsters and equipment.
• Follow blueprints to meet specifications.
• Calculate material measurements and tolerances.
• Test welds for quality and tolerance.
• Perform MIG and Stick welding.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and repairs.
