BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. in Alabama seeks a Welder 2 to join our team. Under limited supervision, you will operate and process complex welds, interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics, and join, fabricate, and repair metal components.

You will align, fit, and weld parts per blueprints, verify workpieces against specs, and review drawings for material needs. Responsibilities include mentoring newer welders and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent, or ACT WorkKeys level 3.
• 3+ years welding experience.
• AWS D.1.1 Welder Certification or 1-year certificate from a technical school; 5+ years welding experience.

Mansioni

• Align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units per blueprints and layout specifications.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and structural soundness.
• Review engineering drawings to determine material requirements and task sequences.
• Work on complex level projects, fabricate fixtures and jigs, and perform job-site repairs.
