Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in a variety of welding functions.
• Familiar with and capable of using welding equipment.
• Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
• Forklift certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to identify and measure material.
• Self-directed with ability to follow management directives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and procedures are enforced.
• Train new and existing employees for assigned tasks.
• Follow production plan for each line including counts and quality checks.
• Maintain takt time by meeting hourly production targets.
• Ensure material availability to lines with no down-time.
• Assist in line setup and staffing adjustments as needed.
• Record visual metrics and daily rate sheets accurately.
• Participate in kaizen events to improve efficiency and safety.
