Job summary

The Franklin Institute seeks a Wedding Sales & Events Manager to lead the sales, planning, and management of its wedding program. You will serve as the primary contact, convert inquiries to booked events, and coordinate logistics with internal teams and external vendors.

Role requires strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, plus ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years’ experience in wedding sales/planning/hospitality or similar client-facing role.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and convert leads to bookings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all wedding inquiries and guide from inquiry through contract.
• Manage all weddings hosted at The Franklin Institute.
• Conduct site tours for prospective clients and prepare proposals, contracts, pricing, and materials.
• Convert leads into booked weddings and track progress; maintain client/vendor relationships.
• Coordinate wedding logistics with the Director of Events & Catering, Levy Restaurants, and museum departments.
• Attend Banquet Event Order meetings and serve as on-site manager for weddings (evenings/weekends).
• Maintain wedding files, contracts, floor plans, and communications; supervise event staff and vendors.
