Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Lead Web Developer to drive the development and evolution of customer-facing web applications powering high-traffic digital experiences across multiple products and brands.

You will partner with Product, Design, Architecture, Mobile, QA, and external vendor teams to deliver scalable, performant, and accessible web solutions while mentoring engineers and setting engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on front-end development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Drive front-end architecture decisions including component design, state management, API integration patterns, and application structure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Review code, mentor developers, and establish engineering best practices.
• Partner with offshore and vendor engineering teams to ensure successful execution, accountability, and delivery against commitments.
• Oversee CI/CD processes, testing strategies, release readiness, and production support activities.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are seeking a Lead Web Developer to drive the development and evolution of customer-facing web applications that power high-traffic digital experiences across multiple products and brands.

In this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, partnering closely with Product, Design, Architecture, Mobile, QA, and external vendor teams to deliver scalable, performant, and accessible web solutions. You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, drive best practices, and ensure delivery excellence across both internal and offshore development teams.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end web development.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical delivery, mentoring engineers, or acting as a senior technical owner.
• Expert-level experience with:
• React

• Experience building and supporting large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Component-based architecture
• API integrations

• Performance optimization
• Experience integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with distributed, offshore, or vendor-supported engineering teams.
• Proven ability to drive execution through multiple teams while maintaining delivery quality and engineering standards.
