The Foth Companies is seeking a Lead Waterfront/Marine Structural Engineer to act as technical lead on waterfront and coastal projects. Remote options exist for the right candidate, with locations including Newport, RI among others.

You will perform coastal analyses, develop construction documents, and guide teams through complex design challenges. We value strong leadership, client communication, and a proven track record in coastal engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in feasibility, design, and/or construction management.
• Experience with developing construction documents including plans and specifications.
• Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and designer on waterfront, coastal, and marine projects.
• Perform coastal condition calculations and structural analyses for shoreline protection and marine structures.
• Lead development of construction documents including plans and specs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Identify and implement innovative design and engineering technologies.
• Support business development with technical approaches and client relationships.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to advance coastal engineering competencies.
