Job summary

Conrad Consulting seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer II in Philadelphia with 8–10 years of experience to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Greater Philadelphia region.

The ideal candidate will lead design efforts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support project managers in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, including water treatment facilities, pipelines, and pump stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
• Design and coordinate projects involving water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, force mains and gravity sewers, storage tanks and utility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental disciplines.
• Support project managers with budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and client communication.
• Perform hydraulic and process design analyses.
• Conduct site investigations and field assessments as required.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance activities.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Support construction administration, including site visits and project inspections.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, regulations, and company QA/QC procedures.
