The Village of Morton Grove is seeking a Pumping Station Supervisor to lead the Public Works team, overseeing water treatment facilities and pumping stations, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in water supply and distribution, hold an Illinois EPA Class C Operator’s License, and be capable of emergency response and cross-discipline collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in water supply and distribution systems.
• Ability to operate and learn a wide set of pumping and maintenance equipment.
• Read and use maps, water/sewer atlases, technical manuals, draft plans, and logs.
• Administer programs and maintain IEPA MS4 NPDES Storm Water Program.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal EPA standards.

Responsabilités

• Set and maintain water quality goals and monitor daily operations.
• Plan, schedule and direct pump station personnel.
• Interact with residents, business owners, and village officials.
• Prepare and file required reports to local, state and federal agencies.
• Conduct daily inspections of pumps, tanks, reservoirs, and security systems.
• Ensure operational compliance with EPA standards.
• Support watermain repair operations and maintenance of valves, hydrants, and appurtenances.
• Supervise sample collection and analysis.
• Adjust treatment methods to improve plant efficiency.

Formation

EPA State of Illinois Water Class C Operator’s License or equivalent
