ETE REMAN in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Lead in the warranty inspection department. You will train and mentor team members, maximize productivity, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
You will partner with other leaders to ensure timely, accurate inspections of warranty returns, perform quality checks, and drive continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies. Strong communication and people leadership are essential.
As a Lead in the warranty inspection department, you are a pivotal role model responsible for training and mentoring other employees, maximizing productivity, and ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging workplace environment. Your day is spent first and foremost supporting team members through training, answering questions, and solving problems. You partner with other leaders to ensure work is being completed safely and with the quality ETE Reman customers expect. Lead up to 5-10 team members when Warranty Supervisor is not available by answering questions, and training new, existing employees within 1 or more similar areas
Conduct inspection of warranty return units following Warranty Review & Analysis procedure.
Secondary person for processing individual component returns
Ensuring work is available and working with other leaders to resolve any delays in work being brought to the department.
Reaffirm any expectations set by the supervisor on which tasks should be completed
Engage in learning manufacturing processes , procedures and continuous improvement methods (i.e. LEAN)
Think carefully and use common sense when dealing with problems and making decisions
Actively participate in meetings and communications to the team and ETE leaders
Verify and perform quality checks including units being processed and leveled up correctly
Encourage team members to report safety concerns promptly , actively monitor safety , address safety non-compliance promptly , involve Supervisor as necessary
Champion company policies and procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Ensure employees are at workstations and begin and end work on time
Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding the employees they are training
Be visible and available to employees on the plant floor

Must be 18 years old, high school diploma , have regular reliable and predictable attendance . Able to work overtime as needed.
Past people management experience is a plus; but not required
Effective oral communication skills as well as able to adapt communication to different styles . Bilingual experience is an asset
Ability to work with your hands. tools (you must provide your own) and instruments . You will be working the line at times, get dirty, and may have to work with chemicals
Basic computer skills including how to use a keyboard and mouse, navigate the desktop or operating systems, and manage files and folders
Utilize an ERP system in work area as required
Able to lift 50 pounds, stand and work for 8+ hours a day
Prioritize tasks and understand details to maximize productivity and achieve objectives
Self starter , able to work under pressure
Willingness to participate and apply specific trainings to enhance your people leadership skills
