Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Warehouse Associate to lead and perform tasks related to receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of HVAC equipment. The role requires coordinating with warehousing, customer service, and local transport teams, using forklifts and material handling equipment to move goods efficiently.

The position emphasizes accuracy in inventory, safety compliance, and timely internal deliveries, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and power industrial vehicles (e.g., forklift).

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues.
  • Operate material handling equipment; load/unload trucks; pick materials into/out of warehouse racks and between locations.
  • Coordinate with local and regional freight companies; set up times and hot shots.
  • Safely operate equipment; report accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Stock and arrange product to optimize warehouse turns.
  • Perform cycle counts to determine accurate quantities.
  • Receive material into inventory; move between locations; ensure correct data in records.
  • Ensure pallets are stable; keep aisles clear and safe.
  • Meet internal customer demands with timely delivery of materials.
  • Participate in safety training and maintain compliance.
  • Assist in warehouse inventory and housekeeping.
  • Overtime/weekend flexibility; lifting 25-50 lbs as needed.

Where Is The Work

Summary

Lead and performs various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of HVAC equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues
  • Using material handling equipment, inbound and outbound shipments, loads and unloads trucks, locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks andbetween locations, Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL)
  • Work with local and regional freight companies (setup times, hot shots, etc.)
  • Safely operates assigned material handling equipment. Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory
  • Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting
  • Receives material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required. Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location; Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, and part numbers
  • Locates parts ensuring that pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking and equipment are not damaged, and material is not left in aisles.
  • Satisfies demands of internal customers to include the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to or from the supported shop. Delivers high priority materials ahead of routine materials previously requested.
  • Practices safe material handling techniques.
  • Completes training as required, including safety training, certification and testing.
  • Reinforces culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely perform all functions of the job.
  • Assists with the training and mentoring of warehouse associates
  • Performs housekeeping as assigned
  • May be required to purchase warehouse supplies to maintain building
  • Assist in annual warehouse inventory
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 25-50 pounds
Education/Experience
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous Warehouse and power industrial vehicle experience such as a forklift Enter overview of position, team, location, etc.
