Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Lead Warehouse Specialist – Night to join our warehouse operations team. You will lead a night shift, manage material handling, coordinate with AS/RS/AGV systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, solid judgement, and the ability to train and coach staff while optimizing warehouse processes. A strong safety mindset and familiarity with GMP guidelines are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support site start-up and provide subject matter expertise in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and support all HSE goals and initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and direction for employees in areas of responsibility.
  • Assign daily and weekly work schedules to departmental employees.
  • Unload/load material and prepare for shipment; interface with WMS and AS/RS/AGV systems.
  • Follow safety requirements and implement counter measures from safety investigations; ensure GMP/regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and implement performance improvements; drive accountability for results.
  • Actively support training efforts in the area.
  • Create, follow, and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
  • Understand and use the transportation management system.

Lead Warehouse Specialist – Night
Organization Overview:

The Warehouse Specialist will join the WH operations team and support system level detailed design, creation of standard operating processes, material handling and automated storage equipment commissioning (ASRS/AGV) and qualification activities, commercial product validation and ultimately be responsible for the physical handling of material through the receiving processes, storage, campus wide material movement, and product shipment. In addition to providing operational support, the Warehouse Specialist will also provide technical and operational leadership in operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Support site start-up and provide subject matter expertise in warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE corporate and site goals
  • Provide coaching and direction for employees in areas of responsibility.
  • Assigns daily and weekly work schedules to departmental employees.
  • Unloading / loading of material at docks, receiving of material, interfacing with the automated material storage and retrieval system, preparation of materials for shipment, transacting within with electronic warehouse management system, supporting cycle counting efforts.
  • Follow all safety requirements and procedures and routinely inspects area for health and safety issues.Assist with implementation of counter measures from safety incident investigations.Work with Leader and safety representatives to implement safety projects.
  • Follow all GMP, and other regulatory requirements. Participate in quality initiatives and audits. Provides leadership for compliance to FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations.

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to pick-up / move 50-pound containers
  • Minimum 3+ years of Previous warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP environment
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Preferences:
  • SAP/EWM experience a plus
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • DOT / IATA certification a plus
  • Comfortable with interfacing with automated systems
  • Previous demonstration leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies
  • Solid understanding of the importance of and basic requirements of regulatory agencies such as the FDA, OSHA, and EPA

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$25.96 - $38.08

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
