Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Davenport, IA is seeking a Lead Material Handler (Warehouse Worker) to complete all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This role will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include supervising warehouse personnel, unloading and loading trucks, stocking materials, preparing waste loads, and ensuring proper shipping conditions.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Work with minimal supervision at times.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Physically able to perform job duties.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and medical/physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse personnel.
• Unload waste from route trucks.
• Reload route trucks with supplies and equipment.
• Ensure waste/containers are in acceptable shipping condition.
• Stock the warehouse with received materials.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment.
• Housekeeping and cleanup in the branch.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT and regulations.
• Follow company safety and environmental guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
