Safety-Kleen in Davenport, IA is seeking a Lead Material Handler (Warehouse Worker) to perform all assigned warehouse duties safely and responsibly. This role operates under local, state, and federal rules and Safety-Kleen policies.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with home daily and typical 8–10 hour days, with overtime after 40 hours. Training may require out-of-state Academy attendance, paid by the company.

• Basic computer skills for warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top priority and follow all safe work practices and procedures.
• Supervise warehouse personnel.
• Unload waste from route trucks and reload for next day.
• Ensure waste/containers are properly shipped to recycle or distribution centers.
• Stock received materials and prepare loads for shipment.
• Maintain branch housekeeping and organize workspace.
• Operate drums/solvents safely and perform minor repairs on parts washers.
• Oversee third-party bulk liquid transfers and inventory counts.
• Follow all applicable regulations and DOT/federal requirements.

Safety-Kleen in Davenport, IA is seeking a Lead Material Handler (Warehouse Worker) to complete all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This role will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.

• Home Daily
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Average start time between 6-7 am, overtime after 40 hrs.
• Typically, an 8-10 hr. day
• Work life balance is a priority

Note: This position requires new hires to attend our out-of-state Academy training, which may require being away from home for a period of time. Training duration may vary based on scheduling and program requirements. Training is paid, and related expenses are covered by the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Supervise warehouse personnel
• Unload containerized waste from the route trucks
• Reload route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day's runs
• Ensures all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping condition and organized for transport to recycle or distribution centers
• Stock the warehouse with received materials
• Prepare waste loads for shipment
• Housekeeping in the branch (painting, picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning, straightening)
• Empty and fill drums of solvent mineral spirits
• Perform minor repairs on parts washers at the warehouse
• Supervise third party bulk liquid transfers
• Order inventory and assist with inventory count at warehouse
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
