Job summary

A logistics company based in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure safety in the warehouse. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of supervisory experience in freight forwarding and warehouse fulfillment. Responsibilities include planning safety programs, coordinating shipping instructions, and managing inventory. A relevant industry degree and hazmat certification are a plus. This full-time position may require flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of progressive supervisory experience in Freight Forwarding Warehousing and/or warehouse fulfillment operations.
• Inventory and production planning experience.
• Experience with all requisite compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Willing to work variable schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Hazmat certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
• Supervise internal resources to execute daily objectives and requests effectively.
• Facilitate the execution of both wholesale and ecommerce fulfillment operations.
• Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment.
• Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints.
