Job summary

Timken is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor in New Jersey to oversee all warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations within a manufacturing facility. The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred; equivalent combination considered.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading warehouse, logistics, or operations teams.
• Experience supervising both union and non-union employees; knowledge of collective bargaining agreements preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation management, and material handling processes.
• Experience using ERP systems, WMS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven leadership, coaching, employee development, and conflict resolution skills.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations to support manufacturing and customer delivery.
• Manage union and non-union employees, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance, attendance, and discipline.
• Ensure timely receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials to support production and demand.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound transportation, carrier management, and on-time shipments.
• Promote OSHA safety standards and environmental requirements; foster a strong safety culture.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and performance metrics; drive efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Customer Service.
• Support labor relations activities and partnership with HR.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and best practices to reduce costs and improve service.
