Job summary

United Parcel Service, Inc. is seeking a Lead Service Associate to support warehouse operations, coordinate with supervisors, and drive accurate, safe packing, shipping, and inventory processes across multiple customer industries.

The role uses material handling equipment, RF scanning, and a warehouse management system to maintain performance, meet SLAs and KPIs, and build strong relationships with vendors and customers while maintaining daily compliance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. (as required)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with supervisor on all warehouse activities and performance
• Utilizes Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including pallet movers, stand up forklifts, high lift reach trucks, and order pickers up to heights of 28 feet
• Uses RF scanners to electronically perform warehouse activities
• Performs tasks with high accuracy under defined procedures and with minimal supervision
• Uses WMS to perform outbound, inbound, and inventory control activities
• Ensures transaction accuracy and compliance with safety and quality standards
• Lifts up to 70 lbs and follows established processes for safe, efficient work
• Acts as a lead, coordinating and checking the work of others (not a supervisor)
• Works autonomously within procedures and practices
• Manages delivery/deployment of contracted services to meet SLAs and KPIs
• Collaborates with vendors, customers, and internal teams to support business products
• Handles daily facility activities related to government compliance, receipts, kitting, orders, suppliers, inventory, staffing, inspections, safety, profitability
• Performs forecasting, allocations, adjustments, and contributes to annual business plans to meet initiatives
• Retains and strengthens customer relationships, including face-to-face service
• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of operations
• Provides support to field stocking locations and provider networks as needed
