Job summary

Wesco is hiring a Team Lead for our Irving, TX distribution facility. You will assist the Supervisor by directing the work of warehouse associates and handling receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and wire cutting in a fast-paced environment.

We offer training on distribution and supply chain techniques, opportunities for career growth, and a benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, 401k, and more. Shift is Mon-Fri, 10:00 pm–6:30 am.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• 3 years of warehouse operations experience required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Warehouse Associate or similar.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of other associates and job assignments.
• Receive, pick, pack, ship, and wire cut items.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities when assigned.
• Monitor workflow metrics and coordinate reporting to and from management.
• Conduct daily safety walks and communicate findings to Supervisors.
• Review complex shipments and staged goods prior to shipping for quality.
• Update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.

A Day in The Life of a Lead Associate

As a Lead Associate in Operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor in directing the work of other associates and job assignments. You will also be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and wire cutting.
