Job summary

Penske Logistics, located in Groveport, OH, seeks a Lead Warehouse Associate to lead a team, ensure safety, and drive productivity in a fast-paced warehouse. The role requires forklift operation, inventory management, and adherence to quality standards. Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed.

The position offers a daytime shift with a pay rate of $24.50 per hour. Candidates should have relevant experience, supervisory skills, and readiness to support multiple shifts when required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of warehouse experience required.
• 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software required.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals while championing safety and productivity
• Executes assignments, provides status updates, & project visibility to Operations Supervisor(s)
• Operate forklifts, counterbalance, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
• Stage and sort products; loads and unloads trailers
• Stack totes, and/or pallets; move materials within the warehouse
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control; ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received
• Complete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts or departments
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be loaded/unloaded
• Uses computer to enter data and maintains inventory records as needed
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
