Job summary

Eskaton Lodge Gold River in Gold River, CA is hiring a dining room/food service associate to supervise wait staff and ensure clean, welcoming dining areas. You will take orders, assist with training, and help maintain safety standards across shifts.

The role requires 1 year in food service, a CA Food Handler certificate, and strong customer-service skills to support residents and colleagues in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in food service operations.
• California Food Handler certification.
• Ability to work harmoniously with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises wait staff.
• Bus and resets tables; keep dining room clean and ready.
• Takes meal orders accurately and courteously.
• Assists in onboarding and training of new employees.
• Assists in administrative tasks for the Food Service Director.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the department.
• Monitors opening/closing duties for wait staff.
• Keeps supervisor informed and resolves issues promptly.
• Familiar with the food service disaster plan.

Essential Job Functions:

• Directly supervises wait staff.
• Busses and resets tables as needed.Ensures dining room is clean and reset to standard prior to next meal.
• Takes meal orders in an accurate and courteous manner, providing prompt service to fill orders and requests.
• Assists in the orientation of all new employees including: on-the-job training, adherence to policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
• Assists the Food Service Director in other administrative activities as directed by Management.
• Maintains standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the food services department. Ensures that appropriate levels of coverage are maintained at all times. Informs supervisor of staffing/scheduling needs.
• Monitors and ensures completion wait staff opening and closing duties.
• Keeps supervisor and cook(s) informed of questions, comments and/or complaints.Diligently works to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Familiar with food service disaster plan.

Starting pay ranges from $18.15 per hour - $21.00 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.

Training and Experience:
A minimum of one (1)yearwork experience in food service operations.
California Food Handler.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to understand and work harmoniously with residents,staffand healthcare professionals.Ability tomaintainhigh professional and ethical standards.Computerknowledge is helpful but nostrequired.
