Job summary

Furniture Fair in Lexington, KY is seeking a full-time Visual Merchandiser to lead showroom displays, collaborate with the merchandising team, and ensure stylish product flow.

You will unpack and assemble new accessories, set up price tags, and move items on the floor, lifting up to 50 pounds and traveling to local showrooms as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of style, design and/or merchandising experience in retail or comparable field.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to travel to local showrooms.
• Lift 25–50+ pounds and assemble/display furniture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the flow of furniture and placement of accessory product to the sales floor.
• Coordinate with Store Manager to move and replace products on showroom floor.

Visual Merchandiser General Description of Duties:

• Take direction from Merchandising Department to lead the flow of furniture and placement of accessory product to the sales floor.
• Partner with Store Manager to coordinate and direct the operations team of the movement and replacement of product on showroom floor.
• Directs product placement of furniture and executes appropriate accessories to highlight the style and flair of furniture displays.
• Originate, implement and replenishes display ideas for everyday accessories when needed.
• Responsible for receiving, unpacking, and assembly of new accessory products for assigned showrooms.
• Generate and attach price and item tags to all appropriate accessory products.
• Responsible for organizing and displaying an ever-changing mix of merchandise.
• Manage multiple, on-going, and high priority assignments at the same time
• Work independently
• Ability to travel to local company showrooms
• Strong communication skills and a good listener
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of style, design and or merchandising experience in retail or comparable field.

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift items weighing approximately 25-50+ pounds.
• The employee will be required to unpack product from shipping boxes, assemble products and move to appropriate showroom location for display.
  • Ability to walk a 60 thousand square foot showroom and move furniture.
