Job summary

Crane Currency in Nashua, NH seeks a Vision Engineer to lead machine-vision and automated-inspection deployments across manufacturing sites. You will translate requirements into robust vision solutions, coordinate with engineering, operations, and suppliers, and ensure system readiness and performance.

The role requires 5+ years in machine-vision, knowledge of lighting/optics, and experience installing and validating systems in production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, Computer or Optical Engineering or commensurate experience.
5+ years hands-on experience designing or supporting machine-vision systems.
Applied knowledge of lighting, optics, cameras, electronics, imaging algorithms.
Experience defining inspection requirements and evaluating vision-system performance in manufacturing.
Experience installing and commissioning vision systems in production.
Ability to assess technical risk and establish test strategies.

Responsibilities

Own the vision-system workstream from requirements definition to stable production and handoff.
Collaborate with product/process/quality to set inspection objectives and acceptance standards.
Design or specify machine-vision solutions using cameras, lighting, optics, sensors, and processing methods.
Integrate vision hardware/software with production equipment and data systems.
Develop or modify vision applications and image-processing algorithms; VB.NET or C# experience is beneficial.
Plan installation, calibration, FAT/SAT, qualification, and performance verification.
