Responsibilities

  • Operate studio cameras and Sony FX6/A7 series; adjust framing, focus, exposure, and white balance.
  • Configure, monitor, and mix studio audio for broadcast-quality sound.
  • Cue graphics and playback in sync with live production using ProPresenter.
  • Direct on-camera talent on pacing, delivery, and blocking.
  • Diagnose and resolve camera, audio, lighting, and signal-flow issues in real time.
  • Conduct pre-production setup and post-production strike to maintain studio readiness.
  • Plan and execute camera, lighting, and audio setups for on-location shoots.
  • Prepare, transport, and load in field equipment; manage cases and expendables on site.
  • Capture supplemental B-roll and event photography as required.
  • Coordinate on-site with producers and marketing/events stakeholders; available for occasional evenings or travel.
  • Offload, organize, and prepare media for editorial handoff; support light editing in Adobe Premiere.

Lead Video Production Specialist (Part-Time)

We are currently seeking candidates for a Lead Video Production Specialist opportunity at a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Lead Video Production Specialist will be responsible for serving as lead on studio productions, directing on‑camera talent on pacing, delivery, and blocking, and conducting pre‑production setup and post‑production strike.

This is a part-time contract role paying between $45-$50/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model out of their office in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as lead on studio productions — direct or technical-direct multi-camera shoots from the control room, calling shots and switching sources on a Blackmagic switcher
  • Operate studio cameras and Sony A7/FX6 cameras, adjusting framing, focus, exposure, and white balance
  • Configure, monitor, and mix studio audio (lavalier and boom microphones) for clean, broadcast-quality sound
  • Cue graphics and playback in sync with live production using ProPresenter
  • Direct on-camera talent on pacing, delivery, and blocking
  • Diagnose and resolve camera, audio, lighting, and signal-flow issues in real time
  • Conduct pre-production setup and post-production strike to maintain studio readiness; keep equipment, cabling, and expendables organized
  • Plan and execute camera, lighting, and audio setups for on-location shoots (interviews, events, marketing), including designing lighting appropriate to each location and objective
  • Prepare, transport, and load in field equipment; manage cases, expendables, and power on site
  • Capture supplemental B-roll and event photography as required
  • Coordinate on-site with producers and marketing/events stakeholders; available for occasional evening or off-hours work
  • Offload, organize, and prepare media for editorial handoff; support light editing (trimming, exports) in Adobe Premiere
