Position Title: Lead Video Producer

The purpose of the Lead Video Producer is to advance the church’s mission by capturing and creating visually compelling, theologically sound video content that inspires faith and fosters community engagement. Reporting to the Director of Communications under the general oversight of the Managing Director of Worship + Communications, this role oversees the end-to-end production of high-impact video content, while actively mentoring a junior video producer to build a sustainable, high-quality media ministry. Ultimately, the Lead Video Producer serves as a spiritually mature creative storyteller and project manager, translating abstract ministry visions into powerful cinematic tools that connect the congregation with the story of God as embodied in the lives of his people.

We are looking for someone who loves Jesus more than anything, is passionate about telling the stories of lives changed by Jesus, and who will proactively and winsomely work in collaboration with staff and the congregation.

  • Polish final cuts, review the junior producer's projects, and periodically push the envelope of new storytelling ideas.
Project Management
  • Assign the right projects to the junior producer (like weekly promo clips or social reels) while tackling the high-stakes projects yourself.
  • Input a steady stream of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual project data into EOS.
  • Proactively source ideas, research leads, conduct pre-interviews, and develop scripts and storyboards.
Mentor + Collaborate
  • Coach the junior producer on spiritual depth, advanced production techniques, better interview styles, and consistent deadline delivery.
  • Build a healthy feedback loop so the junior producer can grow without feeling micromanaged.
  • Shape storytelling narratives and objectives as a member of multiple creative/planning teams in alignment with our branding, messaging, and quality standards as well as our mission, vision and strategies.
Content Repackaging
  • Implement or align to existing organized filing, templating, and project management system so creatives can easily find B-roll, historical footage, finished products, and project statuses.
  • Administer the systematic capture of ministry-wide footage on a weekly, event-specific, seasonal, and annual basis for the purpose of web cataloguing, historical archiving, promotional repurposing, and social media engagement.
  • Translate preaching and programming into inspiring and cross-functional storytelling content.
Asset Management
  • Partner with your supervisor to develop additional resources and training documentation so colleagues can use some of our resources to complete their own smaller-scale projects.
  • Archive/edit footage from weekend services, campus events, and external service opportunities for use across digital formats (website, social media, mobile app)
