As part of the Creative Team, the videographer will collaborate with ministries across the church to brainstorm, produce, and deliver engaging video content for social media, worship services, promotions, and events. Your work will directly support our mission to reach, teach, and disciple, using video as a powerful tool for ministry.

The ideal candidate will excel in video recording and editing, meeting deadlines, and possess a passion for sharing the message of salvation through creative storytelling across multiple digital platforms.

Key Job Duties
  • Pre-Production Strategy: Use effective storyboarding, scripting, shot-listing, and planning techniques to develop concepts for graphics and videos.
  • Creative Alignment: Present final concepts, storyboards, layouts, and video plans to the Creative Director for approval before production begins.
  • Captures Footage: Operates cameras, sets up lighting, and records clean audio for church services, ministry projects and event recaps.
  • Handles Post-Production: Edits raw video files, cuts clips, adds background music, and inserts basic graphics or color grades.
  • Manages Equipment: Transports, maintains, and troubleshoots hardware, including cameras, lenses, tripods, and microphones.
Key Skills Needed
  • Technical proficiency with camera settings (exposure, frame rates, focus) and editing software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to direct subjects and build client relationships.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving to handle unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to schedule video shoots, prioritize project work, and keep up with multiple assignments.
Character Traits Needed
  • Collaborative: Works well with non-technical volunteers, pastors, and musicians. Communicates technical needs simply.
  • Mission-Driven: Aligns creative choices with the church’s vision. Views the work as a service, not just a gig.
  • Visionary: Visualizes the final edit before shooting. Knows how to turn a Sunday sermon or youth event into a compelling 60-second social reel.
  • Proactive: Seeks out stories within the community. Does not wait for directions. Finds the hidden testimonies and unique moments.
  • Detail-Oriented: Sifts through hours of footage efficiently. Spots the exact three-second clip that captures the true energy of an event.
  • Brand-Conscious: Maintains visual consistency across all platforms. Ensures the video style aligns perfectly with the church’s established voice.
What You Bring:
  • 2–4 years of experience in video editing, or a related field (or a degree in media/film)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Suite
  • Experience in studio and field production (lighting, audio, camera work) preferred
  • Experience in motion graphics, non-linear editing, or familiarity with the ministries of Lone Star Cowboy Church would be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and an eye for detail and design
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be a Christ-follower and must agree with and adhere to the Christian principles and lifestyle outlined in our Statement of Faith.

Hours: This position will work Sunday-Thursday, while some evening and weekend work may also be required. This role is an on-site position located on the church campus.
