Banfield Pet Hospital in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a full-time Shift Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support two Chesapeake locations. The role offers a pay range of $23.43-$33.84/hour, with rate determined by experience and location. Posting remains open for a minimum of two weeks.

The LVT will lead a veterinary team, recruit clients, manage patient flow, and assist in surgeries and daily operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician certification or licensure (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT).
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred (AS or BS).

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services, Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care and pet health needs.
• Manage routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, including encouraging hospital visits and educating clients about their pet's health.
• Upon approval from supervising veterinarian, perform veterinary technician appointments under the direction of a veterinarian and in compliance with state law.
• Assist incoming clients by completing documentation and entering pet information and history in the computer.
• Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, and dispensing prescription items per veterinarian's instructions.
