Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for our Chesapeake clinics in Virginia. The role offers a full-time schedule with a pay range of $24.13–$34.85 per hour, adjusted by experience and credentials.

You will lead a team, support veterinary staff, and help deliver high-quality preventive care to pets and clients. Responsibilities include directing client flow, promoting wellness plans, assisting with surgery as needed, and mentoring paraprofessional staff

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) is required.
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospital services and preventive care to recruit clients.
• Manage client and patient flow for optimal care and productivity.
• Provide professional service, educate clients about pet health.
• Assist with appointments and procedures under supervision of a veterinarian.
• Enter pet information and maintain complete medical records.
