Job summary

Westfield Veterinary Group – Union, NJ is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician / Outpatient Supervisor to guide our clinical team in Union, NJ. This is a full-time leadership role overseeing outpatient workflows, coordinating care, and mentoring technicians to deliver compassionate, high‑quality patient care.

This 36–40 hour/week position offers hands‑on clinical duties, onboarding support, and a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of veterinary technician experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong outpatient care and patient‑care skills.
• Experience training or mentoring other team members.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentialing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily outpatient workflow and appointments.
• Coordinate technician and assistant assignments.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship.
• Support onboarding and develop team skills.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards.
• Communicate with veterinarians and leadership about patient care.
• Promote teamwork and high-quality care.
