Job summary

University of California - Davis is seeking a dedicated ANML CARE HOSP SUPV 1 VMTH to supervise Cardiology, Dermatology, Small Animal Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology Services, ensuring staffing, daily receiving and schedules, and equipment readiness.

You will train staff, mentor clinicians, provide anesthesia and nursing support, and help maintain training protocols while coordinating with faculty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Experience supervising staff in a small animal hospital, veterinary specialty or emergency service setting; experience mentoring staff in conflict resolution, protocols and diagnostic procedures.
• Experience writing and conducting performance evaluations based on position descriptions, established expectations and protocols.
• Experience communicating with a diverse group of people including clients, clinicians, referring veterinarians, students, and staff in a professional manner.
• Experience coordinating, facilitating, setting up equipment and supplies, troubleshooting and anticipating needs for activities in assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• 60% - Supervise veterinary staff across multiple services.
• 35% - Provide technical and nursing support.
• 5% - Instruct and maintain faculty through training and mentorship.
