Job summary

ARISE Veterinary Center in Queen Creek, AZ, seeks an ophthalmologist to establish and grow a dedicated ophthalmology service within a 32,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital. You will develop caseload, build referral networks, and shape resources with support from Ethos and the ARISE team.

You will join a multidisciplinary group including board-certified Criticalists and advanced imaging capabilities, with teaching opportunities and a focus on continuous learning.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) or residency training in Veterinary Ophthalmology.
• Strong clinical skills and an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and client-centered approach.
• Collaborative team player committed to teaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop a new ophthalmology service at ARISE Veterinary Center.
• Build referral caseload in collaboration with general practitioners and ARISE’s existing specialty services.
• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic consultations, diagnostics, and treatment for referred patients.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within your clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, surgery, critical care, medical oncology, neurology, and emergency clinicians to support integrated case management.
