Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate others, and remain composed in high‑pressure situations.
• Proficiency in veterinary assistant tasks including patient handling and client communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• 7+ years of Veterinary Assistant experience preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift, coordinate workflow, and ensure staff coverage.
• Mentor and support veterinary technicians and assistants, guiding onboarding and development.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and partner with hospital management to implement solutions.
• Support veterinarians in patient care, maintain medical records, and uphold infection control standards.
• Enhance client experience by assisting with scheduling, check-ins, and explaining discharge instructions.
