Job summary

State of Alaska and the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) AMHS seek a Vessel Construction Manager 3 in Ketchikan to lead vessel design, engineering, and construction. You will guide major ship projects, oversee contracts, and coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to deliver safe, on-time results.

Your leadership will support the AMHS program and MTTP goals, while traveling to project sites and liaising with officials to advance Alaska's maritime

Qualifications

• Contracting/Procurement knowledge, including Federal Acquisitions Regulations.
• Cost Estimation and Analysis knowledge, life cycle costs, cost models.
• Project Management concepts for scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects.
• Vessel Construction principles for design, construction, refurbishment, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex vessel design, engineering, and construction projects.
• Manage large-scale ship construction and refurbishment with schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with marine engineers, naval architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Perform contract administration, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
